Until a week or two ago, I successfully used Sibelius 4.1.5 on my iMac. Suddenly, it started crashing whenever I tried to start a new score. Opening a saved score results in nothing--Sibelius stays open but no score appears. I have installed the compatibility patch to no avail. This is the log that is sent to Apple when Sibelius crashes:

I suspect an update from Apple is causing the problem, but I would rather not have to reinstall my operating system. Does anyone know anything about this?

Apply the latest update to Snow Leopard, which fixes some issues with Sibelius and other apps. Should be an automatic sort of update, no need to reinstall the entire OS.

Thank you, but I believe I have the latest update. (My computer updates automatically and when I manually check it says there are no updates available.) I am suspecting that a recent update is conflicting with Sibelius. Unfortunately, there is no way to roll-back or uninstall updates on a Mac. Hence my comment regarding reinstalling the OS.

Hi, did you ever resolve this? I'm having the exact same issue.

Ask over on the official Sibelius forum. There's been a lot of discussion about the problems caused by 10.6.7 over there, so a search might turn up the answer too.

I wonder if 10.7 will be any better!
