Sibelius crashes when exporting document from PhotoScore
PhotoScore seems to be more-or-less successfully reading the PDF scores I import ... but when I export to Sibelius, the program loads partway then instantly crashes. I've tried this with several different PDF scans with the same result. It's also the same result when Sibelius was already open. Any a...

Got it!!! I thought by deleting the time signature NOTATION it was just the print I was deleting ... not the indication itself. Sure enough: as long as the notation is there, it behaves itself and inserts bars / deletes content in the correct time signature. Thank you so much for shedding light on t...

Here is a score. This is my first time attaching something; fingers crossed. The entire song is in 2/4 with the exception of two pickup bars and the final bar. There are zero bars of this piece in 4/4 time. In spite of this, when I delete the content (notes) from any measure of this score - includin...

I'm not mistaking whole rests for four beats. The meter really does change from 3/4 to 4/4. When I convert the whole-bar rests to quarter notes, there are four quarter rests. On a related subject, I frequently have occasion to delete the time signature notation, without changing the meter of subsequ...

time signature weirdness
Update to my previous post: I am continuing to encounter strange anomalies regarding time signature. Specifically: 1. No matter what meter I'm in, new bars are always inserted in 4/4 time 2. When I delete three quarter notes from a 3/4 bar, the empty bar spontaneously reverts to 4/4 time. When I re-...

New bars inserted in wrong meter - FIX
I encountered this strange problem for the first time today, after using Sibelius for years. A 4/4 bar was inserted in a piece written entirely in 10/4, and it didn't matter whether the bar was inserted at the end or in the middle; it was created as a 4/4 bar each time. I don't know what the underly...
