Thanks most sincerely. I finally got it to work properly. (for now!) Repeat measures for playback was set incorrectly. I don't know why that reverses the straight vs. tremelo but it surely does.
Thanks again, God bless.

backwards tremolos/straight in timpani part
Hi. You may think I'm crazy. But for some unknown reason, all of a sudden my Timpani part is playing STRAIGHT when is supposed to be tremoloed, and is playing tremoloed when is supposed to be straight. HOW CAN I MAKE IT PLAY PROPERLY???
Thanks for any advice!
I'm using Sibelius 6.

guitar strumming notation
Hi. Is there a command in Sibelius 6 to notate up and down strokes of guitar strumming? And will this be recognized in playback? Or how do you make playback sound like actual strumming? Without it playback seems very mechanical and/or robotic. Thanks most sincerely.

notation of muted brass
Hello...
How do you add muted trumpets or other brass in in Sib. 6? (and have playback recognize the muted measures)
Thanks so very much. (don't want to add instruments, just need to make existing instruments muted for a few measures)

red note heads
Hi everyone. Just wondering if someone could tell me what a red note head means after doing step time entry with midi? Not red notes over bar, just one of the note heads is red, and I can't find anything wrong with the note. Thanks a bunch.

midi keyboard entries major 3rd too high
Hello everyone. I'm in the process of learning Sibelius 6, and am currently working on project 1. In trying to do step-time entries, my midi keyboard (M Audio Keyrig 49) is entering notes a major 3rd higher than the key I press on the keyboard. Is this an incorrect setting in Sibelius? Or is the key...

metrnome marking/tempo
Thanks for the answers Fredo & Andy. Andy we must have different manuals, as mine only has 140 pages! I checked the index again, and re metronome markings only found reference to the orginial score setup. No biggie, I'll just start the project over. I was just hoping for a cool button like the one t...

changing metronome markings sibelius 6
Hello! I am a new student of Sibelius 6 and so far it's quite easy to learn and use. However I'm wanting to find out if there is a way to change the starting metronome/tempo marking WITHOUT scrapping the score and starting over. I have looked in the references and cannot find instructions in this re...
