Re: Export PDF from transposing score
Yes, but if I don't open the parts individually first, they still come out transposed for me. Not sure why, but I give up and will just do the time-consuming method.

Re: Export PDF from transposing score
I think the difference is that you opened the horn part prior to doing the export. I can do that as well, but then I have to open every part individually before doing the export in order to ensure it all comes out as concert pitch. That does work, but it's pretty time-consuming...you'd think there w...

Re: Export PDF from transposing score
Sure, but then it all sounds like a computer playing it. I prefer to play it in on my keyboard and ride my mod wheel at the same time to make it sound a little more realistic. To do this, I need a concert pitch part to read from.

Re: Export PDF from transposing score
Sorry, I don't quite understand the sequence you mean here. I know I can export all or some of the parts, and that they can be in one file or in separate ones, but I don't have a way in between selecting the parts and exporting them to change the transposing score option. I can turn "Transposing Sco...

Export PDF from transposing score
Hello all. I have an orchestral piece in Sibelius 7.5, loaded as a transposing score so I can push the appropriate button to change it back and forth from concert pitch. I need to export all the individual parts as PDFs so I can read them while playing the parts into Pro Tools. Even when I turn off ...

Re: changing keys, need to see new signatures
There's a lovely feature that will change the key signature for you when transposing, but it appears to be active only when you're transposing the entire piece at once. The above suggestion to transpose and then manually input the new key signature is probably the best way to go. (Edit: using the Sy...

Re: Exporting MIDI from Sibelius to DAW
Thanks for that! So I take it that exporting a MIDI file from Sibelius should normally incorporate articulation data if all is done correctly, right? Your recommendation of a new DAW would certainly be best. I'm still saving up my pennies and trying to learn as I go, which is why I'm trying to make ...

Exporting MIDI from Sibelius to DAW
I am new to MIDI...please be kind... :-) I've got some orchestral pieces written in Sibelius, and while NotePerformer is OK, I really need to learn how to use a DAW properly. I downloaded Podium Free to try to learn, and I've got an on-and-off subscription to ComposerCloud for VSTs. I'm trying to ex...

Finding the best soft synth
Hi there. This is my first post on the forums. I've been using Sibelius 4 for many years, but at a pretty basic level, and I need some help! I am trying to write my first film score. I might have access to a few musicians to record the parts for me in a studio, but I expect the majority of it will b...
