Re: Standard repeats WITHIN winged repeats - possible?!
You might be able to use standard repeat marks throughout and 'fake' the wings, as all the elements that make them must surely be available separately in a font, but I've never wanted to try doing that! :) Perhaps asking the question on the official Sibelius chat page would bring an answer to that. ...

Re: General question
It shouldn't be too bad. Compatibility Mode is a Windows feature that allows you to run older software that otherwise wouldn't play nicely with Win 10 or Win 11. You can install Sib 6.2 on your Windows 11 machine, but you won't be able to activate it. For that, you'll need to follow the instructions...

Re: instruments dropping out when exporting
The OP did post on the official site and got immediate responses! No surprise there, then.
The 'problem' was that hairpins had been duplicated with MIDI messages to reduce volume to zero, but no MIDI messages had been inserted to bring the volume back up.

Re: instruments dropping out when exporting
You are aware that this isn't the official Sibelius forum? It's an old, almost moribund site that's very fussy about attachments. Only 3 people answering questions and I can't help on this one. Official Sibelius chat page would be the best place to ask - you'll find Mike on there as well! http://www...

And remember that Sib 7 is not compatible with later Mac operating systems. This is typical of the problems caused.
And I would remove your system ID from your first post.

A question probably best asked on the OFFICIAL Sibelius forum:
http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcen ... ?groupid=3
This old site is unofficial and almost moribund.

Re: Sibelius MXLM stave import limit
Very likely a restriction. In fact Sibelius First is so restricted that it's really not worth having at all. Sibelius Artist is a little better but Ultimate is the only version that is any good. Unless you have plans to upgrade from First to Ultimate, I'd abandon ship and get Musescore 4. It's far m...

Re: Creating blocks of lyrics/text next to staves using Sibelius Free?
I'd agree with the others, and that makes replies from all three people still answering questions here! :) You do know that this is not the official Sibelius forum? The free version is not worth bothering with. Musescore is WAY better than that version of Sibelius and probably better than the mid ti...

Re: dynamic guitar staff
Of the three people left answering questions on this rather moribund unofficial forum, I can't help you with this one. The other two might, but I should point out that the official Sibelius forum is here: http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcenter/chat/chat.pl?groupid=3 You'll reach more users there...

Re: Cross stave spread chords
You may well have to do the stretching thing! You could just create one, then copy and paste if you need another. Trouble is, you may then have to shift it up or down and adjust the end points of the line. Me? I'm resigned to just arpeggiating the bass clef and stretching the line up. Not sure wheth...

Don't delete the 3. You have the option to show numbers or not, and a lot of other options as well. All explained fully in the Reference Manual (F1). Search for 'tuplets' or 'triplets'.

Also worth remembering that older versions like 7.5 are not compatible with later Mac O/S versions. You'll get some functionality but odd things can happen.

Re: Add bars to top of existing score
Don't rely on Youtube! Read the Reference manual (F1 should open that) and search for 'add bars'. Highlight the first bar and right click or use the keyboard shortcuts. You should have 3 options. At end (Cmd+B), Single (Cmd+Shift+B) and Other (Option+B). Other will allow you to specify the number of...
