Select the note you don't want to hear. Look and the Playback section of the Properties window. Set the live velocity to 0. That will fix your problem. I would have thought you could do this with the 'Play on pass' options. Unfortunately, when I tried this the note it was attached too wouldn't play ...

Use tempo text to enter A tempo. There are three ways to get there 1. Through the menu: Create > Text > Tempo 2. Right click, select Text > Tempo 3. Key command: control-alt-t (not sure what it is on a Mac) Once you get the flashing cursor to enter text right click anywhere in the window (control-cl...

There is a row of icons on the right hand side of the toolbar across the top of the screen. These correspond to various windows, such as the keypad, playback controls, mixer, and properties window. The icon for the properties window looks like an upside down triangle and a box with a check in it. Cl...

I haven't tried this, but it should work. I don't have Sibelius 4 installed so I won't be able to be too specific. You're going to be messing up the appearance of your score, so make a second copy of your project. You need to set up your score so you're only using 16 staves (possibly more if you're ...

What exactly is your plan? Are you using the keyboard as a midi interface or for sound playback? I have two cards which I'm very happy with. One is a Creative Sound Blaster Platinum. The other is an M-Audio Fast Track Pro. Both work with Vista. The Fast Track Pro is actually an external USB audio in...

I don't think that would be possible. Here's my suggestion: Open up the properties window and look under 'Playback.' You can manually change the volume of notes with the 'Live Velocities' settings. You can also adjust the rate of crescendos with 'Hairpin' settings. It takes some time but makes a big...

Anything can be done in Sibelius if you're willing to put enough long and frustrating hours into it. You can create key signatures manually by hitting Z (for symbols) scrolling down to the accidentals section, selecting the flats or sharps you want (or half flats, half sharps, double flats, double s...
