HI Folks,
I'm confused. I just opened a client's Sibelius ultimate file with my Sib 8. Looks fine.
But, Have I lost any information? Do I need to have Sib Ultimate to work with Sib ultimate files successfully?
Thank you

Re: Sib MIDI input via kybd getting 2 unison notes per keyst
I received this advice from a colleague:
"I do have a keyboard that constantly sends double info. So it's possible that it's not a Sibelius issue, but an interface issue. Check for loops. If you have the MIDI-in and MIDI-out ports connected, disconnect the MIDI-in when using keyboard entry".

converting mosaic files to Sibelius
HI Folks,
Is there a way to convert "mosaic" files (with dat ending) ( a forerunner to Performer) to Siblelus? I'm still working in Sib 6 on a PC . also have Sib 5.

reduced size accidentals in parens from tied notes on previo
HI Folks,
Sib 5, windows xp. Is there a setting in engraving rules or elsewhere to create say 75% size accidentals (in parens)on notes that are tied from the previous measure on the previous line? Or do I have to use cue size symbols each time?
Thanks,
Upstate Ed

Hi, The Sibelius Tech guy had a solution. Go to the character map of the Opus font in all programs-accessories of windows. then Select-copy the character you want then you can paste it into the say, Technique window in preferences. Better than combining technique text with symbols from z-symbols whi...

adding articulation symbols to text
Hi Folks,
Working in Sib 5, I would like to be able to add articulation symbols to text concerning performance notes. Is the best way to add artic symbols to the Technique window? If so, How do I do that?
Is there a better way?
Thanks,
Upstate Ed

easy fix for remote key notation
HI Folks,
The Sibelius Tech guy knew. Change the transposition of Clar in Bb, Tpt in Bb to a# and then key of f# becomes gb. etc. You have to check your score throughout for other enharmonic changes though.

respelling remote key signatures in a transposed score
HI Folks, I'm working on a classical score in Sib 5. It goes through many key changes. In one section in E major, I want the trumpets and clars written in Gb. In the clefs & keys window of engraving rules, I have the respell remote key signatures in transposed score checked but the Tpts & clars are ...
