Re: Stemless Note With Note Name
You could add the note names and then 'remove' the stems by dragging them down in the note body. Tails and beams can be hidden, and the stem dragged. They'll show on the screen but won't print. Sorry, all a bit manual and tedious, and I can't find any plug-ins or engraving rules that would help out.

Re: Chord Diagrams
I don't think so. There's a limited amount of tweaking you can do to chord diagrams through the Edit Chord Symbols dialogue and Engraving Rules, but nothing like this seems to be supported. You may be able to insert your own images in the relevant places, but this is likely to get messy. This may ha...

Re: Bar Numbers and repeats
Great that you found a solution, arfo. Disappearing bar numbers used to happen to me quite a lot, until I realised what was going on!

Re: Bar Numbers and repeats
You have to be careful in Sibelius about how you start and end repeat sections. Sibelius gets easily confused if repeat barlines are missing, even if it's obvious to a human where things start and end. In your 3rd line there is no start repeat barline so Sibelius can't decide what the bar number sho...

Re: Moving Staff
This how Sibelius justifies the music on each page. It's a bit like a word processor which squeezes as much text (or images etc) onto a page until it can't fit any more on, within the current settings. At some point you'll get an automatic 'page break' and some of the music is forced on to the next ...

Re: Three Dots on Upper Left Corner of Score
Don't know what this is. Can you show a picture? None of my scores have three dots there, and I can't see anything in the manual about this.
if you're using a mac it may be a display issue.

Re: Creating an audio file from chords
I use the realise chords plugin quite a bit, to set things up, and then tweak. The chord every beat option is my usual way to get things started, with left/right hand piano, and then deleting notes in each part to get a reasonable accompaniment. It's a bit lazy, but I'm generally quite pleased with ...

Re: Changing default playback instrument of voices to piano
I've had a look around and don't think there's any easy way to do this, at least not in Sibelius 7.5. I stand to be corrected, of course. Best I can think of is to create a piano (grand) staff and use that to arrange your SATB notes or make a keyboard reduction. You'd mostly hide/mute the piano when...

Re: House styles folder on Mac
The Reference manual says where it is. If you don't have a copy these can (mostly) be downloaded from the web. If you search the manual for House styles , then go to User-editable files , it will be somewhere like (for Mac OS X:) /Users/ username /Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius/House Styles

Re: how to save/export custom guitar chord diagrams?
Yep, I'm in the UK too, London area. I came to this forum first when I got stuck in Sib 5, and liked the style, and all the helpful tips. The official forum seemed a little less friendly and aloof. Only ever used Avid support once, to deregister a Sibelius installation. With all the trouble people a...

Indeed Mike, but maybe in this case it's not needed, and sus4 has already tweaked the roadmap? Took me a while to figure out, but it's second nature now! Unless we hear to the contrary...

Re: 2,3 ending?
If that's all, just: Go to Notation > Lines > Click the bottom right box (Edit lines) > Click the 2nd repeat System line > New > Yes Change the Name to (something like) 2-3 Ending Click the Edit... button near Text, and change the text from 2. to 2.3. and OK. (Sorry, no fancy screenshots) Then you c...

Re: Is This possible?
What about hiding everything (Ctrl/Cmd Shift A Shift H) and printing that?
Not sure if that would work for you - you'd still get bar lines, KS, clefs and instruments if present but otherwise blank staves in the original proportions for you to write the notes in.

Re: Space between systems different for one page
You can drag staves manually and they'll stay there, unless you do any global layout resets. The space between staves value on the ribbon is a global setting, so will revert if you use reset above/below or optimise the whole score, so best to do these adjustments when the score is (nearly) complete....

Re: How to save custom instruments
You can save the new instrument by exporting a house style or manuscript paper for use in other scores. You can import your House Style into another score, or use the saved manuscript paper. This is from the Sibelius 7.5 Reference manual, under Edit Instruments (I imagine it's similar/yhe same in la...
