PLAYING CHORDS IN CLARINET

I think I used to be able to select instrument>clarinet and then, if I played a chord (for arranging purposes), the chord would sound. For some reason that's not happening now. If I play a chord now, all i get is only one note of the chord. Is there a setting somewhere?
