Escape key not working

Since buying a new laptop with Windows 7 and upgrading to Sibelius 7, the escape key intermittently doesn't work in Sibelius. After googling the problem and trying various things I find it seems to happen when Adobe InDesign is open at the same time.

However, knowing this doesn't help... because of the nature of my work I need both programmes open at the same time.

Any suggestions very gratefully received

If I recall from discussions on the official Sibelius Forum, this is due to an Adobe foul-up. I can't recall if it was ever sorted. Worth looking over there to find out.
