Text in sibelius 5.2.5

I'm writing text under notes. In the case I want to get a "slur" between the last letter from a word and the first letter from the next word, both under the same note, I should click "Ctrl+underline (8)". This does'nt work. Same problem with "Ctrl + divide line (6)"
