Missing sound library
I have been using Sibelius V7.1.3 for a while, and it works well for writing music and doing MIDI playback.
Now I want to export some music to .wav, but I cannot find the Sound Library needed for this! When I click Play/configuration, the only choice is General MIDI (basic). According to the manual, there should at least have been a 'Sibelius sounds' library.
I found a Sibelius download page and clicked a link called Sibelius 7.1 Sounds Installer (Windows) [2.24 MB]
Unfortunately, this didn't help at all. I still can't find the Sibelius 7 sounds on my computer.
Could someone give me a hint?

No expert here, but it seems the default location for Sibelius 7 Sounds is C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Sibelius Sounds\Sibelius 7 Sounds, with various subfolders for each category of instrument (Brass, Guitar, Keyboard...).
Perhaps you need to reinstall, or relocate the files to here..?

Thank you, KJ_Palmer, I am sure you're right! My problem is that I do not have any subfolders called Sibelius Sounds or anything like that. I have searched the whole computer, but the sound files seem to be missing
Maybe there is a download page for this kind of additional Sibelius files?

Sorry, can't really help, my own Sib 7.5 installation/upgrade was a nightmare.
Perhaps you need to use the Avid technical help team: sibelius.com/helpcenter/contact.html
They were pretty good and helped resolve my issues quickly.

Thank you, andyg, I think you have pointed out the solution
My answer to your question is: No, I never installed the Sound library. And I never recieved any disks, I just downloaded Sibelius from Internet, installed it, paid my licence and everything worked fine - until now.
I guess that my next step should be to contact Sibelius again. So far, their Help desk has not responded at all... But maybe they are on a Christmas Holiday

If you downloaded Sibelius, you have an account page. Go there and you should be able to find what you are entitled to download i.e. sounds and upgrades. All this time, you have been using GM sounds. You are really going to like the real sounds.

Thank you, bobp, I found my download page - at last. I had to move to a newer computer to see the download links. My old computer seems to have a too old version of Windows and/or Internet Explorer...
Thanks for your advice!
I then used yesterday to download the Sibelius sounds 23 Gb zip file.
The zip file is corrupt. Well, well... Things shouldn't be easy.
So I will start a new download today...
