I installed the latest trial version, but it won't start because of this error. I tried re-installing to a different location. I also tried updated the C++ redistributable from microsoft.
Any suggestions? I tried messaging Avid, but I don't think they offer support for the trial version.

Sibelius 8, Win 7 64 bit

I don't know about Sib 8, but 7.5 installs a 32 and a 64 bit version. If that is the case, make sure you are trying to start the 64 bit Sib. Other than that, make sure Windows is up to date.

Resolved: the C++ Windows package was corrupted; Sibelius worked after replacing .dll files
