Hi Sibelius Devs,
Hi List,
Could we have the possibility to separate a window in two or sevreal parts? Would be nice if I'm composing for two or three voices that are not near by each other (for example a piccolo and a doubble bass imitating each other so -- much other instruments between them in the score).
Thanks a lot: Minkepatt

Hi there
Is Window>New Window, followed by Window>Tile Horizontally (or Vertically) any good?

Hi Sebasian,
Thankx for your hint. I knew it before - but have my thanks anyway I often use this feature cause I'm on a latop. BUT: I just can select staves that are in neighbourhood to each other. To make a (little bit ridiculous) example: Soprano, Alto & Tenor in a 4-voice-choir, but not just Soprano and Tenor only, because Alto is in-between. So when I want select Flute and Tuba only …
And, oops, I forgot to mention that I'm still under Sibelius 5, maybe I'm looking for a feature that already exists in Sibelius 6. Am I? If you are working with Sibelius 6, please let me know.
best,
Michael aka Minkepatt, Switzerland

Use a Multiple Selection.Minkepatt wrote:. . . I just can select staves that are in neighbourhood to each other . . .
For instance, select (with a normal Passage Selection) Flute and Oboe which are next to each other, then Ctrl+click (or Mac equivalent) on Contrabass or Harp or some other more distant staves. Then choose 'Focus on Staves' and all those staves will be shown. Easier to do than explain.
