how about: free note entry (unlocked from timing grid)

Place your wishlist here. Maybe the Sibelius developers will honor your requests.

how about: free note entry (unlocked from timing grid)

I see many free notes in contemporary scores (Penderecki f.e.)
and I wish there would be a simplier way to just enter free notes.
Currently you have to input them in the timing and then move around afterwards.
So a little button which has a lock/unlock function would be great.

oh boy this really tests my skills,
Sibelius is showing weekness on contemporary layouts.

f.e.
barlines are only changeable for the whole system and not a single instrument.

no black rectangles for clusters over many bars.

pictures (black rectangle) are not free resizeable and stay in aspect

No lines with interpunctuation possible > ___.___.___

No solo stems without bars+flags+noteheads

Boy boy boy, merrily tweaking all over the place. Costs precious time.

invisible inbetween barlines: great tip, thanks a lot. I created a special instrument for it and use an instr.change when needed. *both thumbs up*

cluster: line is not working. f.e A vertikal line with a high thinkness is only extending up/down. There is a rectangle box in the lines which would fit but it is not filled :-/ It extends vert+horiz as needed. Not shure if it is possible to make the box filled black.

I already worked my way through the creation of custom symbols and am aware of this feature, but sometimes it is not flexible enough like a paint program ;o)

pic resize: as I said I can change the size but the aspect ratio stays. There is only one point to grab and a 16:9 pic stays 16:9 no matter how large or small you drag it, right?

interpuctuation lines: not shure I can recreate your steps. If you have this line for yourself, could you make a screenshot of the settings for me?

Noteheads, got it so far. The manual kept me awake half night.

I already got my mouse programmed and those 11 buttons are really workflow-helpers :o))))
