Sibelius needs a copy merge score feature that will allow user to copy notes from one measure or a several measures and then paste into another measure/measures without erasing the contents of the paste target. Logic Studio score and event edit windows has this great feature and it allows someone to be able to paste notes/events into a measure that already has existing notes. all without overwriting the existing notes at the paste location. Sibelius need to add a copy/merge feature that allows this.

You can accomplish this by using voices. Turn everything in the bar you are going to paste to into Voice 2 (select it and hit option 2, or alt 2, depending on your operating system). Then in the bar you want to copy, filter voice 1 by hitting Shift Option/Alt Apple/Control 1. This will just select voice 1, copy it, and paste to the bar or bars where you changed everything into voice 2. This seems strange at first, but once you get the hang it will become second nature. Best of luck!

Thanks Musictranscriber for your suggestion below. Although your idea may be functional, it is VERY TEDIUS & NOT USER FRIENDLY!!! One should not have to jump thru 3 or 4 different hurdles to accomplish such a simply MUCH NEEDED task/feature. Sibelius needs to implement a simple key command that will do copy/merge notes quickly and easily without having to go thru a lot of nonsense time wasting jirations!
