Jerky green playback cursor

One of the things I do to practice a piece on my oboe is to transcribe it and then play it back at slow speed while doing the fingering.

But in Sibelius 5 I find that the green bar moves in jerks rather than smoothly, and is often not in time with the sound.

Is there any way to fix this? Or to turn the green line off?

The playback line moves beat-by-beat rather than moving on each note. This is new in Sibelius 5.

I'm so embarrassed that I hadn't noticed that the cursor moves with the bear. I can see the sense of doing it that way, but it will take time getting used to having become accustomed to PrintMusic.
