Positioning "D.C. al FINE" and "FINE"

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

I'm having problems positioning the "D.C. al FINE" and "FINE" texts. If I do it like this, the playback works:

But if I position "FINE" underneath the bar - where I want it to be - with the final barline, "FINE" no longer applies to that bar but to the last bar.

How can I fix this?

Place the DC and Fine and Fine above the staves, not below.

Thank you, andyg.

But what if I want to place them below the staves? That's usually how it's done in piano sheet music. Can I not do that without affecting the playback feature?

Opinion is divided as to whether they go above or below. Almost all the piano and organ music I have shows the markings above the staves, and that's how I teach people to do it. So I never have the problem you're having, and I guess Sibelius expects you to do things its way! As long as it's perfectly clear, that's really all that matters.

Workaround. Put the markings in above and hide them. Add your extra markings below and uncheck 'play on pass' in the properties window.
