Stack notes together in chant

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Another question about writing chant. Quite often, when writing stemless music, you need to stack notes together implying movement on one syllable. I can't seem to find correct way to do this in Sibelius. If I write mainly in quarter notes and add the movement in eight notes (and then remove stems), the notes are still too much apart and moving them by hand isn't a good solution on the long run. If I add them as 1/64 notes that notes are tied together nicely but extra rests are messy.

I'm trying to write something like this:

I think I managed to do what I was looking to. I created this by adding a few of the notes to the "second voice". This looks exactly what I want, but is rather complicated to do. Is there's an easier way?

The second line which should have four notes stuck together doesn't look quite as nice. Don't have ideas on what to do about it at the moment though.

Describe step by step how you do this. Otherwise I can't tell if there is an easier way.
