Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hi folks,

simple: how to put a fermata over double bar line in Sib6? Here it either flips just before or after the line, not on it.

Peter,
It's been so long since I used 6 that I'm not sure I remember.
But I can give you some ideas.
In the menu bar on the right is a pull down that list lots of things you can modify. Using this area you might be able to nudge the fermata left or right.
You can leave it over a note and define a gap after it.
I think there is a fermata symbol you can use instead that Sibelius won't playback.
You can use Railroad Tracks( I forget the fancy Italian term for the two parallel lines that denote a break) instead.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

Ceasura is that missing Italian term, Bob.

You can certainly use a Fermata from the Symbols menu. If you do, and playback has to include the pause, then add in a couple of hidden tempo changes, one to slow things right down for a beat or two (or three...) and another to put things back to normal.
