Chord with each note having different time value

Hi I'm trying to make what's in the first picture into what's in the second picture (posted below) but when I try to turn the bottom note into a half note Sibelius turns the entire chord into half notes. Is there no way to fix this instead of making a new voice?

This is perhaps the most asked Sibelius question ever - usually by people who haven't looked at the Reference manual or looked at any of the on line videos or tutorials!

You need to work with Voices. Upper notes go in Voice 1 or 3, Lower notes in Voice 2 or 4. That will make the notes align correctly.
