Tones above A5 or A"

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hello,

I'm using Sibelius 8.6 and Sibelius sounds 7.5.
As playback configuration I'm using Sibelius Sound 7 (Jazz) and as instrument Tenor Saxophone.

Can anyone tell me why tones above A5 or A" aren't played during playback.

You asked this over in the official forum and got the answer.

That's high for a tenor sax and it's quite possible that the samples in the sound set that you're using don't go that high. You can probably produces these out of range notes by using General MIDI sounds.

A5 or A" is not a high note Image.
The other sound configurations don't sound so good.

It is high for most players. Please read the experts' contributions on the other forum. Just because a computer can play a note doesn't mean it's practical for a real player. Some, maybe, but not all or even most.

It's usually pretty easy to spot arrangements that have been done on computer without ever going near a real player. I've seen too many...:(
