One instrument score?

Sibelius 7.5, Mac 10.12
I'm trying to enter the excercises for Sax I myself come up with. I've written scores with several instruments before, but here there is just one stave and I don't understand why I still have score view and part view.

Is it how it is supposed to be, or I I can just create an equivalent of note paper and forget about score-part difference?
Score want me to have a large header and I don't know how to make it smaller.

I actually need an equivalent of lead sheet, nothing else. Is there a choice for that?

You have to write in the score view. You don't have to do anything with the part view. You can print whichever looks best.

And there are built in manuscript papers that will give you a single staff. Start with one of those. If you have an unwanted space at the top of the page, adjust the margins in Layout.
