When I use the mouse to extend my first time ending to the next system, if I go past the edge of the page, it doesn't just continue to the beginning of the next section but continues to the end of the page. If I hit 'space' as the manual advises, either it starts playing or nothing happens, depending on the selection.

Usually just dragging down takes the ending to the next system, if that system is on the same page. If you have more than one page, then dragging to the edge will take it to the next page, possibly to the end of the score, in which case drag it back up to the system where you want the ending.

Space is the usual playback button when not editing, couldn't find in the manual about using it to extend the ending.

Either 1. Select all the bars over which you want the ending to sit before applying it or 2. go into panorama mode and do it there. Trying to drag around a page where there are system/page breaks in the way is a real pain sometimes.

Many thanks, Mike for that. Late last night I managed to suss out the panorama mode version, but it helps to have another way of doing it.
