How do I redirect the neck of notes?

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

In my left hand the neck of my notes of my two voices go towards each other rather than away from each other.
How do I redirect them?

You have input them using the wrong voices. In future, you should use Voice 1 for higher notes - up stem. And Voice 2 for lower notes - down stem. Voices 3 and 4 work the same way as Voices 1 and 2.

It is possible to select the bars and swap the voices for the notes that you have already input. Read through the section in the Reference manual - "Working with voices" for a fuller explanation of how things work.

Select the bars and press [shift]v. That should correct the incorrect voicing.
It is hard for someone used to writing 4-part music not to use 1 and 2 for the treble voices and 3 and 4 for the bass.
In sibelius, you only need voices 3 or 4 for extremely complex music which would probably be better written out on separate staves.
If you have used voices 3 and 4, select the bars and press [ctrl][shift][alt]3, followed by [alt]1. Then select the bars again and press [ctrl][shift][alt]4 followed by [alt]2. If you're not on windows, your key presses will be different.
