Can I create a template for a new score using an existing score. In other words, create template for a band with same instrumentation.

Yes, delete all the notes and save as a Manuscript Paper.

- Open your existing score that has the instrumentation and formatting you want to reuse.
Go to File > Export > Score Template.
Give your template a name and choose a memorable save location, then click Export.
Your custom template is now ready to use! To create a new score based on it, go to File > New from Template.
In the templates dialog, you should see your saved template listed under the "User-defined Templates" section. Select it and click Create to open a fresh score pre-populated with your instrumentation and settings.
