Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

In drumset scores there is often a particular note head that is being used to display a tom.
It is a normal note head with a circle around it.
It is not listed in the symbols menu, but is it possible to edit those, or to import this note head in any way?

Thanks.

Yes you can edit symbols, and then use the symbol you have made as a notehead.

Read the Manual/Reference first!

Use House Style > Edit Symbols to make a symbol with an ordinary notehead (it's in Common Symbols) and use the Extra Symbols - Add to add the circle (on my system, that's the second symbol, second row.

Then use House Style > Edit Noteheads and from the drop-down list, pick a notehead you won't otherwise use. Double click on it (or one click + Edit) and then use Change Symbol to use your new symbol. You can move it up or down as necessary with the measurements available in the dialog, using negative values if you need to.

None of this will make sense until you read the manual!
