How "not to select a note in the keypad"

Hi!
I have the following problem, it's difficult to explain:
In Sibelius 4 I always have the transparent note symbol on my mousepointer, how can I get the normal mousepointer thing to mark things and so on, I've updated from sibelius 2, in the earlier version I just had to click on the selected keypad note and nothing was selected. This seems not to work in the 4 version, or I'm just too blind (or silly) to get it...

I think you might find that you need to press ESC more often in Sibelius 4 than in Sibelius 2. Sometimes I have to press it three times to get what I want.

Yes... you're great, I think I tried every key, exept the esc...
