Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

I've been using Sibelius 3.1 for a while now and still can't figure out how to note buzz rolls. Rim shot I figured out (under noteheads) but I can't get them to sound like rim shots. They sound like whistles. It would be nice to have something like a click or anything in that area. Please help!

See 'Percussion' in your Sibelius 3 User Guide for help.

I have Sibelius 5.4. To get a rimshot on a drum set or five line percussion staff, you need to enter a note where the snare drum would be (C5 with note head type 0), but with an x note head (C5 with note head type 1). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rimshot
