I have been using Finale 2005 for a little while, and having found quite a few problems affecting the presentation of the full score in a well-spaced and legible form (apart from many other problems along the way!) am wondering whether Sibelius might suit me better. Is it possible to convert a score from Finale 2005 to Sibelius? I only have the demo version of Sibelius at the moment. Is there any way that I can try, using just that? If it works I may well think of investing in Sibelius 3, which users tell me is more 'intuitive'. Is Sibelius 3 able to read a Finale 2005 score?

In Finale you can either save as .ETF file, which can be imported directly into Sibelius (with some textual changes needed) or you can use the free Dolet plugin to create a Music XML file, which can also be opened by Sibelius.
