Hi,
I've got a bit of a problem here (Sibelius 6):
I'm writing a score with space notation which basically means that I don't use any normal notes but only lines as noteheads (attachment). Now I want to add a few slurs, but since there are no real notes, the slur has nothing to cling to and I can't drag the beginning or ending of the slur.
One idea was to add real notes and hide them, but due to the layout preferences it pushes around all my notes!
Does anyone got a solution?
Thanks a lot!

Interesting. How did you create these "notes"? Can you use a tie instead?

They are just edited horizontal lines. Each system has a hidden full note rest; so Sibelius is used more as a graphic editor since you can't play anything. A tie won't work, to the program it's just a bunch of lines.

Have you tried using Non Magnetic slurs, they can normally be placed anywhere you like.

Hit S while not selecting a note/rest and see what happens.

It works fine for the notes at the beginning and the end a staff (one bar with invisible barline), but if I want to put it in the middle, I can't drag the right side far enough left. Am I doing something wrong?

How about writing this as plainchant. Use plainchant note heads and hide bar lines. Then you can apply all the usual articulations.

The problem is that I need the noteheads to be like very thick lines (the duration of the note is indicated by the length of the line). Or is there a way to make 'real' noteheads being like this?

I found a (somewhat annoying) solution: you can use non-magnetic slurs, but due to the Sibelius bugs you have to pre-shape them anywhere on the sheet exactly how you want them to be in the end, and them copy and paste them to the right position. Important is that you never ever touch them again..... they will instantly mess up!
Thanks for your advice!
