hello

I would like to put the drums in 4/4 and the guitar in 5/4 in order to create a polymetric phrase. Please could someone tell me how to do this? I currently have them transcribed but it will only let me have them both in 5/4 as pictured.

The instruction in the manual didn't seem to work

thanks

Karl

I don't think Sibelius can do this 'explicitly' (yet), and you can only have one time signature/metre per system. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Having done a Google search on multiple time signatures in Sibelius I came across a few workarounds to trick Sibelius into doing this. Something like setting up a base signature, and using tuplets beats in the longer bar and hiding the tuplet numbering. The base signature is then hidden and some fake text pasted over the top to emulate the desired metre in each part. Not sure if would work with very complex rhythms but should be ok with the whole notes in your example.
