I'm using Sib.7. All the play back instruments are fine except the bass. I'm getting what sounds like an arco (bowed) bass sound and what I want is an upright plucked bass sound.
In play bace devices: Configuration - General Midi Basic
Active Devices - DLSMusicDevice
When I click on Test, I hear the test sound so I know it's working.
How do I get the right bass sound?
Thanks

When I set up a score that uses a plucked bass sound, I select the Upright Bass sound found in the Bass Guitar section. The midi version of this sound is plucked also, but not very good.

So, don't you go into Sound Devices and use DLSMusicDevices? I don't understand how you just choose the plucked bass in the Bass Guitar section. Can you please explain the sounds you use for play back of your score?
Thanks.

I went into Home>Add or Remove Instruments and when the window opened, on the right hand side I deleted the bass that I had and on the left side I chose Upright Bass and hit OK and it switched on my score.
