Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me: my father was a Sibelius user, and composed rather a lot on Sibelius.
He died in February, and we are having a live performance of some of his work on Saturday. However, there is one piece we would like to play, but it's a trombone concerto with a few other parts and a whole chamber orchestra is a little bit OTT. I have tried to take the .sib file and turn it into a sound file, but I don't think I have the appropriate sounds to get the digital->analog conversion sounding anything other than awful (Dad's old computer with Sibelius on it died a bit before he did, and with it whatever sound kit there was that made things play like actual instruments), and I've kind of had to give up as the month-long trial has expired.
Would there be anyone who would be so kind as to take a .sib file and make a nice-sounding mp3? Apologies for making this such a last-minute sort of request.
Many thanks
Phil
Would some kind person be able to help?
There are only two or three people answering queries on this unofficial site. I'm one and I can't help you. I'd suggest that you try the official Sibelius chat pages at: http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcen ... ?groupid=3
Lots of people on that site and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
