Hello,
I need to write extended chords on top of staves, like Bm7 natural 5th etc, AND half diminished 7th chords with cut circle sign and extended form, but I cant manage to do these chords, I checked the engraving rules but I still cant figure out how to proceed. Any help really appreciated! Im on sibelius 7
Many thanks

Seems to me that the Edit Chord Symbol Options section of the manual is about as clear as mud. It might be easier to conjure up a demon. Good luck. Sorry to be of no help.

I know, it seems clear, yet I cant understand how to write chords with the cut circle to indicate half diminished 7ths. Could anyone please be more specific?

Just figured it out.
Select where you want the chord symbol to go. Hit CTRL+K. Type the name of the chord ( for example : Chalfdim). Left click on a blank spot on the page.
