Hide barline on one single staff

I'd like to hide a section of barlines (not for the entire piece) in one of the staves.
The only way I've figured out so far is to hide the barlines for all the staves and manually insert new barlines for every staff except the one I wanted to hide in the first place.
Is there any other less tedious way to do this?

Hi there

Yes. You need to make a new instrument, based on the one that needs not to show barlines. Edit the Staff Type and untick 'barlines' so it won't show them.

Then introduce an instrument change for the duration of the passage.

You should simply hide the change itself.
