Expression text appearing above staff

I'm working on a big band chart, and the expression text in the vocal part appears above the staff, instead of below, and I can't figure out why. The other parts are all fine, except for the vocal part. Any ideas?

That's because it's a vocal staff, and, for most styles of music, the expression text goes above so as not to get tangled with the lyrics. It's a new innovation in Sibelius 6. You can turn it off in the instrument definition if you need to:

Select the staff, then House Styles > Edit instruments > Edit Instrument . . . follow the dialogs until you get to the actual Edit Instrument dialog. Halfway down is the Vocal staff checkbox. this only works for the current score but you can export a House Style and import it into later scores, or make a Manuscript Paper with this kind of vocal staff.
