I want to be able to writing in big bald letters "Play 8x" or "play 6x" but not at the end of a double barline and 2 dots. I want to write it in the actual bar so it basically says play the bar you previously played 6 more times or 8 more times. See pic attachment if confused...

I've seen this done before where you turn a multi measure rest of say 8 bars into "Play 8 x" in big writing where the multi measure rest once was.

I think you have to hide the multi measure rest first but then not sure what to do from that?

Please help.

Thanks

If this is for real people to play and you don't need it to play back, then don't bother creating the multibar rest, just use one normal bar, hide the bar rest, widen it as needed and type in your instructions. You can adjust the bar numbering if you're showing it.

If not, you're into hiding multibar rests, repeat bar lines etc.

And you can create your 'Play 8x text and drag it where you want it.
