I want to change a Cmi7b5 chord to the symbol C∅. I went to Appearance > Engraving Rules > Chord Symbols and under Augmented, Diminished and Half Diminished Chords I chose the first button which has the symbol I'm looking for and under that I chose the button which says Baseline Symbols (large) and clicked OK. Nothing happens when I type in the chord Cmi7b5. Isn't is supposed to change to C∅? I did this with the Cmaj7 chord and it works. I get the symbol C▵
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

One way is to select the note were the chord symbol will go.
Select the TEXT tab.
Select Chord Symbol.
Type (in this case) Cm7b5. Your Cmi7b5 works also.
Two icons to the right of Chord Symbol is Equivalent Chord Texts. Keep hitting that until your symbol comes up. It took 7 clicks for me.

There might be a different way, but this one worked.

bobp, thanks for your reply. Yes, know about that one and I use it, but that's not the same as typing in the chord (Cmi7b5) and it automatically changing to the symbol that I want. When I type in Cmaj7 it automatically changes to C▵.
