Help, I have recently upgrade to sibelius 8. I am writing a song and the bar lines for my entire alto line have disappeared. How do I retrieve them?
Also, my opening page has merged the soprano and ate lines together. How do I separate them?

It's hard to say what happened. We don't know much about your experience with Sibelius or what OS you are running.
Page one of your score has merged the soprano and alto parts, and the the bar lines are gone in the rest of the alto part. I suppose you could create a new alto staff, filter for the lower notes on the soprano line, then copy and paste them into the new alto staff. Perhaps the bar lines in the rest of the part have become hidden. You can toggle hidden things. or you can copy and paste the rest of the alto part into the new staff.
