Using Sib8 with East-West/Quantum-Logic libraries

I finally have a new computer which can actually handle large sound libraries and I've re-installed my EWQL libraries and upgraded things to the latest versions from EWQL.

I'm on Win10(Home) and still using Sibelius 7.1.3. I know that this version isn't supported by Avid under Win10 and I find that whenever I try to get Sibelius to load the Play5 VSTi (the current version of EWQL's playback engine) Sib7.1.3 quits on me.

I'm considering upgrading to Sib8 but I want to know if the expense will be worth it -- will the EWQL Play5 playback engine work with Sib8 on Win10?

People are using 7.1.3 on W10. If Sibelius works in every other way, I think I might suspect something other than Windows or Sibelius. Sibelius 8 is a 64 bit software.
