I have a several Sibelius First songs (mostly piano-vocal) where I want to add articulation marks (e.g. staccato dots) to existing chords and notes. I want them to all be above the staff instead of where the program decides they should go. Is there any way to input them to this position? Selecting each wrong one after the fact (especially the teeny staccato dots) in preparation for hitting "x" is nearly impossible for these aging eyes. I am not a professional musician, so I may have misused the vocabulary. Apologies.

You should be able to magnify your view with a slider in the lower right corner (though I'm not totally sure it's there in Sib 1st).

Staccato dots seem to be always placed opposite the note stem. I.e. just above the note, if the stem is down. Just below if the stem is up. Any other placement does not mean staccato.
