I'm using sib5 and have Sib Gold and Essential (16 and 32), GPO and Virtual Drum Line sounds.
Running on XP on a Lenovo T61 with enough RAM.
I'm trying to write for the 20th Century orchestral percussion instrument: "concert toms" which is usually 5 drums - not sounding like VDR non-resonant toms and certainly not electronic drums.
I seem to recall begin able to do this in Sib 3 but cannot now.
I've tried House Style | Edit Instruments but cannot get 5 tom pitches a on 5-line percussion staff.
In trying to use general MIDI the sounds for low floor tom, high floor tom, and so on do not produce 5 differently tuned tom sounds.
Can anyone help me with this - in the easiest way that works?

thnx

Although ram is probably not the problem, What is "enough ram"?

Are all your instruments compatible with XP Do you have the proper sound sets? How did you get a copy of Sib 5?

Enough RAM means I don't think that's the problem.
I got sib 5 when I bought it!
I cannot stand the interfaces since then so I still use the old faithful.

I seem to remember a major change in the sound library between Sib 4 and 5. That might explain why you can't make things work like you remember.
There was another change after Sib 6.
