I have a problem with configuring the playback device. My Sibelius sounds are in an external hard drive. However it doesn't show in the left column. And it seems it doesn't allow me to do it manually. Any help appreciate, thank you!

Since sounds are on a different drive, Sibelius doesn't know where they are. You might try the rescan button in Audio engine options. That's the button in the lower left of the Playback devices window. Also check Use Virtual Instruments.

Frankly, I always have sounds on the same drive as Sibelius. Much faster.
