Turning 30 songs into One Book
Hi,
Let's say I have 30 separate songs. I want to create a PDF to send the entire score to someone. I've already created individual PDFs of all 30 songs, but I'd rather send one document (PDF) that contains all 30 songs.
While I have Song #1 on the screen (a Sibelius document, not a PDF yet) complete with page numbers, can I join Song #2 to it? Then Song #3, etc. etc. until I have the book complete. And THEN turn it into one big PDF?
If YES and you don't have the energy to write out all the steps, can you direct me to the right page in the Reference Guide? I searched but couldn't find it.
Many thanks for your help!
Tom

Yes you can, and it's fairly straightforward (in principle). What you need to do is append your scores. In the Reference manual this is explained in the section called 'Splitting and joining scores' - section 1.10 in the Sib 7 and 8 manuals, and then go to the Appending scores bit.
One caveat is that the scores need to have the same number of staves, otherwise they won't join.
You'll probably need to do a little tidying up after your scores are joined, and there are tools to facilitate this. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions once familiarised with the process.

If you have already made pdfs, why ot simply join them in a pdf editor? Appending scores can be troublesome if you don't have each score with the same number of instruments and with the same names. With so many files I can see that there will be a huge amount of tidying up to do.

if you know when you start a project, it is probably easier to do it all in one file. Set the file up with all the parts needed. Hide staves where needed.
