Hi all,
I'm trying to make three lines of music fit into two. Here are the three lines:

So, I selected the first system plus two bars of the second:

and then I clicked OPT-SHIFT-M (I'm on a Mac) for Make Into System. But this is what I got:

So it's moving bars around like I wanted, but it's leaving weird gaps in the lines. I probably just need to change some really simple setting, but I have no idea what that might be. I'd appreciate any help you can give! Thank you.

If you can't make Join Bars or the Merge Bars plugin work, in combination with system break, that example might work better from scratch.

Thanks, Bob. Are you saying I may have to delete it and rewrite it from scratch?

I don't know. Where did these examples come from? What format?
If you have them in Sibelius, you should be able to copy and paste them into a new page. If you are trying to make a page of examples interspersed with text, Sibelius doesn't do that very well. Better to export each example as a graphic, then paste them into a word doc.
