Narrow Two Voices - extra space

Hello! I have a small but annoying problem with the "Narrow Two Voice" plugin. When I apply "note spacing", it adds extra space between the first note and the bar line. When I do the same without the plugin, entering notes into the bottom voice as voice 3, this problem doesn't occur. Attached are screenshots with examples. Is there anything that can be done about this?
