Unable to enter chords symbols anymore. Why ??

Hello all,
I just encountered a bizarre situation : after creating lead sheet music, and entering chords on the piano keyboard with Command+K nothing appears on the staff above the staff line. No text. Previously (for about 15 years or so), I was always able to just hold Command+K and enter the chord on the piano keyboard. Not anymore ! I literally have to type Em7 etc. using Command+T like for text. Why is the function Command+K not working anymore ?

After spending two hours and going through all possible culprits I gave up... My MIDI keyboard is connected properly - I can enter notes etc. as always. After I enter a chord with Command+K (flashing text cursor appears normal) nothing appears and the cursor advances to the next beat. I tried everything, even re-starting computer, re-launching Sibelius etc.
Anybody encountered such improbable behavior ? I can’t solve it... Help !
