Have you downloaded and installed the 38+ gigabytes of Sibelius sounds?

I'm having the same problem. I've downloaded and installed the Sibelius sounds (I'm using 7.5) and on most scores they're working fine. I have a couple, though, that use the General MIDI soundset, and when I switch to the Sibelius soundset there's no audio at all. When I assign it again to General MIDI, all is well. Mixer is showing signal on all channels except the master. Subgroup faders show signal also.

Are you on a Mac or PC? What are the specs? Have you restarted the computer since installing Sibelius?

I believe that's all you get with the trial version, which doesn't include the 40GB of sounds that come with the full version. Now that's a fun download if your connection isn't fast!

I have the same issue. However, I don't want to use the Sibelius 7 sounds for the reasons outlined by this post:
(I don't have URL Posting privileges, so google 'Sib. 6.1: exporting to audio using MIDI Basic.' and it's the first hit.)

As a result, is there no way to export the General Midi audio since General Midi (enhanced) is gone in Sib 7?
I enjoy the precise, quick, simplicity of the General Midi soundset and want to export the audio of it.

Thanks,
Nakul

As far as I know, Sibelius does not come with midi and will not export midi audio. It uses midi already on your computer.
I did not see any reason for not using Sibelius sounds in the thread you posted, so if you explain why maybe we can help.
I suppose if you must have midi, you could export as a midi or music xml and open that in MuseScore, which will export midi audio.
