Have upgraded to latest version of Sibelius Ultimate 2023.8. Have created new file SATB & piano. Dynamics not working on playback. Have switched of Live Playback to no avail. Any ideas?

What are you using for playback? Sib sounds? NotePerformer? Something else? Check your settings in Play--》Playback--》 Performance. Set interpretation to meccanico.

Just seen Robin Walker's answer in the main forum. He is, of course, correct.

Thanks. I'm using Sib Sounds and I have checked that playback is set to Meccanico. I have also adjusted settings in Dictionary to give greater contrast and this makes no difference. However the dynamics DO seem to be working in the piano part but not in the SATB parts. Could this be because I have copied and pasted them from the piano part? When pasting them I have attached them to start on a specific note however.

Yes. Copying staves does exactly that. It copies every note, accent and text item in whatever voice it was originally in. The exception to this is if you use paste into voice.

Brilliant - thank you for that. I'll go through and delete my pasted dynamics and reinsert them directly into each part.

Instead of doing all that work do this:
Select all
Home-->Filter-->expression text
Press [alt]1
Instead of using the filter, you could also follow select all with [shift][alt]d and then [alt]1. This is useful if you also have cresc and dim lines.
